Strike rate calculator

Calculate a batting strike rate (runs per 100 balls) from runs and balls faced.

Formula

Strike rate = runs ÷ balls faced × 100. Balls faced include no-balls but not wides.

Worked examples

  1. Smriti Mandhana: 4,556 T20I runs off 3,521 balls in the data = 129.40.
  2. Virat Kohli: 14,987 ODI runs off 15,892 balls = 94.31.
  3. 45 off 30 balls = 150.00.

How it works

Strike rate measures how fast a batter scores. In T20 cricket it is often more important than the average.
