Worked examples
- Deepti Sharma bowled 1,387 dot balls from 3,228 in T20Is in the data = 43.0%.
- 48 dots in 120 balls = 40.0%.
- 12 dots in a 24-ball spell = 50.0%.
How it works
Dot balls build pressure. For bowlers, a dot ball is a legal ball with no runs off the bat and no wide or no-ball (leg byes and byes still count as dots).
