Overs to balls converter

Convert cricket overs to balls and balls to overs, including 5-ball sets for The Hundred.

Formula

Balls = whole overs × 6 + the number after the dot. 19.4 overs = 19 × 6 + 4 = 118 balls.

Worked examples

  1. 19.4 overs = 118 balls.
  2. 50 overs = 300 balls.
  3. 118 balls = 19.4 overs. In The Hundred (5-ball sets), 100 balls = 20 sets.

How it works

Cricket writes overs as whole overs plus extra balls, so 10.3 means 10 overs and 3 balls, not 10.3 decimal overs. Always convert to balls before adding or dividing.
